my last day was last friday. =)

even though i had tuition right after work, and had 2b lessons right after tuition and ended my day around 11pm on thursday night, i made tiramisu for my colleagues.

then it turned out that friday was a v bad day for the dept (once again)...
and they didn't have time to even talk to me. *sigh*

so i waited till after lunch until i present my colleagues with my
very-much-melted tiramisu... which looked quite horrible.
they said it was yummy, but i think it was just out of courtesy. :P

then i went off to do my clearance.... which took like a damn 2-3 hours because i had to run around the whole coy. I think it's just a plot to force people who's resigning to go on a tour around the whole coy for the last time.

and after i finished my clearance it turned out that my lady boss had stuff for me to do!! and while i was doing it... *clock tick* it turned 1730! which is the official knock off timing.

and i realised i had gifts for my colleagues which i haven't give them!!

and then i chop chop brought all the gifts to their desk and place it there if they're not around, or passed it to them personally... for those who i gave them personally, they wished me all the best and i can see that they were pretty pleasantly surprised... =)

i was supposed to meet ah gong and yanling in the evening for dinner but i was running late and i still haven't finish my work... so i told my lady boss that i would bring the work home and send to her over the weekend... so i transferred everything to my thumbdrive, packed my stuff.. and was ready to say one last goodbye to the coy.

so i packed all my bags... and went to where the rest of my department is seated, and told them goodbye again... i passed by a meeting room in which my supervisor and my manager was in... knocked on the door and shook their hands. actually it's the first time i talked to my manager since i'm employed. the longest conversation we had was during our interview. =S

and then i took a stroll out of the office, and took the lift down... went to the
guardhouse and exchanged the coy pass for my IC... and walked out of the coy.
I'm officially no longer an employee of the coy.

and then i was walking down the slope outside my coy.................
and i suddenly realised.............................

i 4got to take my thumbdrive which is stucked on my CPU!!!

i'm such a sotong!!!!!!!!! hahahaha.

so i quickly called my colleague and got him to bring down my thumbdrive for me
because i can't go inside my coy anymore. hahahahaha. *oops*

and after that... i really walked down the path outside the bldg for the last time.



you may think i'm really silly, for spending so much effort for my ex-colleagues, for spending money buying gifts for them when they probably don't even care about me, and will forget me very soon, since i'm there for such a short period of time.

i even brought work home on my last day! isn't it something foolish i'm doing?

But now, i feel glad that i did all these.
I'm glad i spent the time i spent making tiramisu and doing the extra work,
spent the money i spent on the gifts.

because i think i really left a good impression on them,
no matter how short it's going to be.

and i feel really appreciated because my lady boss sent me a long email
to thank me for my work last night,
and 2 other colleague sent me an sms today and yesterday, asking me to keep in touch.

though these "keep in touch" thingy may last only for awhile...
but at least i feel really good now.

i just hope all my little actions make me less forgettable, and when they see the paperweight/note holder i gave them, they would remember this stupid fresh grad who joined them for barely 3 months and left.

You can also see it as.... i'm building my bridge... spreading my network.

Because you'd never know who's help you'd need in future.
